Imphal, April 06 2010:
The Communist Party of India (CPI), Manipur chapter is all set to launch mass rally on April 8 followed by 'jail bharo' (court arrest) in five districts of the state protesting against the price rise of the essential commodities, informed L.Iboyaima , general secretary of CPI in press meet held Tuesday at Imphal.
Mass rally would be held in Imphal West district, Imphal East district, Thoubal district, Bishnupur district and Churachandpur district.
.LIboyaima informed that such move would be initiated owing to the price rise of the essential commodities, failure of Public Distribution System (PDS) in the state.
He also added that the unemployment problem of the educated youths in the state must be solved by the government.
All the members of left party would also participate in the agitation of April 8 .
It is worth mentioning that Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Manipur chapter had staged protest demonstration at various places in Imphal against the price rise of essential commodities in early February this
year.
