A medical camp under the state programme for control of Blindness, Shija Mission for Vision Phase-2 and Smile Train Shija Cleft Project was conducted at Comprehensive Health Services and Research Centre at Hamleikhong in Ukhrul district today.
People turning up from various parts of the Ukhrul district at the medical camp were attended by the medical officers by separating them according to the complaints of the people.
A total of 237 people turned up to examine their eye problems in which doctors recommend 82 of them needed operation.
Fourteen of them were brought up for operations at Shija Hospital under the state blindness control programme.
Four patients were also brought up for operations under the Smile Train Projects of the Shija Hospital.
Patients were examined by two eye specialists and one specialist in plastic surgeon.
