Orissa enters final to meet Manipur

Imphal, March 24 2010:
After winning the second semi final match today, Orissa entered the final of the ongoing 18th Senior National Women's Football Championship, 2009-10 organised by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the aegis of All India Football Federation (AIFF).
Orissa defeated Tamil Nadu 3-0 and entered into the final.
Both teams displayed a tough fight against one another in the first half of the match.
However lack of better coordination among the players of Tamil Nadu resulted to their loss.
The first half of the match concluded 1-0 in favour of Orissa.
The other two goals were scored in the second half of the match.
Jhili Munda of Orissa scored the first goal of the match in the 28th minute.
The other two goals which were scored in the second half were scored by Sasmita Mallick in the 63rd and 79th minutes of the match.
On the other hand no players of Tamil Nadu could scored back a single goal against Orissa.
It may be recalled that Orissa entered semi finals as winner of group B and Tamil Nadu entered as runners up of group A .
In the final match which has been scheduled to play on March 25 next, host Manipur will fight Orissa for the champion's trophy.
Manipur had defeated West Bengal 1-0 in the first semi final match played on Monday and entered final.
The final match will be an interesting match with the two equally strong team vying for the champion's trophy.
Orissa is all set to win the final match defeating Manipur in its homeground.
On the other hand, Manipur team is also well prepared to win the trophy with their heads raising high in amidst of the home-crowd.
Education Minister, L Jayentakumar will graced the closing ceremony.
Deputy Chairman, State Planning Board and also President of Manipur Olympic Association, MLA Bijoy Koijam will be the functional president.
The closing ceremony will begin from 1.45 in the evening.
