Imphal, January 05: Reacting to the claim of UNLF inflicting heavy loss to AR, AR authorities rejected the claim as false and baseless.

A statement issued by the PRO of HQ IG AR (S) maintained that there is no question of fudging the casualties suffered and disclosed that only three soldiers of 35 AR were killed in the gun battle at Longpi that lasted for 20 minutes but not hours as claimed by UNLF.

It further remarked that there was no question of using local people as human shield and alleged that one UNLF cadre was killed in the course of the shoot out.
