Imphal, January 05 (NNN): The All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM), All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) and the All Zeliangrong Students Union (AZSU) have supported the January 7 Manipur bandh jointly called by Kuki Students Organisation (KSO), Zomi Students' Federation (ZSF), Hmar Students Association (HSA) and others in protest against the killing of IGP (Intelligence) T Thangthuam by the PLA on December-31 at Oinam bazar under Bishnupur district.

In separate statements, the ATSUM, ANSAM and AZSU said that they would show solidarity to the move of KSO, HSA, ZSF and others in calling the 24-hour Manipur bandh which begins from the midnight of January 6.ATSUM statement said that the unfortunate incident occurred on December 31 at Oinam bazar in which IGP Thanghuam and his escort commander were killed.

ATSUM further stated that it condemned all kinds of violence.
