Sensitisation of field functionaries held

Imphal, January 30: With the objective of developing markets infrastructures of agricultural products, grading and standardization of these products, a sensitisation programme for field functionaries was conducted on January 28 at Sumchinvum ground under Singnat sub-division.

Project coordinator of Manipur SFAC, Mohendro Khaidem, Plant pathologist of Agriculture Department, AAO, Dr M Thoithoi, branch manager of SBI Churachandpur, V Valte, AAO of Agriculture, Dr Chitaranjan and managing director of Kanglei Agro Business Services (KABS), K Thamarjit along with the farmers of the area held serious deliberations on the subject.

Today's programme was attended by Deputy Commisioner of Churachandpur, IAS, AK Sinha, Commissioner of Agriculture and CADA, IAS, Letkhogin Haokip as chief guest and president respectively.

The programme was jointly organised by Sumchingvum Youth Welfare Association, Singngat and SFAC, Manipur under the aegis of National Institute of Agriculture Marketing (NIAM), Jaipur.
