Kohima, March 01 (NEPS):
Nagaland Minister for Public Health Engineering and Fisheries, P Longon said his priority would be to bring peace and development in the district of Tuensang in particular and Nagaland in general.
Talking to NEPS here today, the Minister said the Naga political issue is a very complicated one thereby the solution remains elusive for over half a century.
Therefore a collective wisdom should prevail to solve the protracted Naga political issue once and for all, he opined.
Longon, who hails from Nagalands Tuensang district bordering Myanmar, regretted the frequent intra tribal rivalries that have been taking place in Tobu areas.
He said this issue should be amicably settled by the conflicting villages.
Otherwise it has the potential to affect the whole communities.
The Minister feels that political leaders, tribal leaders and legislators from the two districts of Tuensang and Mon should sit together and work out some kind of mechanism, which should be acceptable by both the conflicting parties.
