Imphal, March 01: Reacting strongly against the transfer of the M Gouramani Singh principal of Naorem Chaprou Govt Primary School, members of the Yaipha Lamjing Chanura Marup along with the staffs and guardian of student have closed down the school indefinitely as a mark of protest against the Government's transfer of the said principal.

The protester also threatened to intensify the agitation if the Govt does not revoke its order.

Meanwhile, While strongly condemning the transfer of three teachers from Kakching Makha Primary School without providing any substitute teachers during the recent Govt's rationalisation of transfer and posting of Government School teachers has appealed to the authorities concerned to revoke its decision in the interest of the students who are suffering due to scarcity of qualified teachers.

Describing the recent Govt's rationalisation policy as insane and irrational, Konthoujam Youth Peace Club has castigated the State Govt for transferring three of the school teachers despite knowing that fact that the school was in acute shortage of teachers.
