ANSAM meet kicks off at Tamenglong

Imphal, March 01: The inaugural function of the three day long IX general conference of All Naga Students' Association Manipur (ANSAM) hosted by Zeliangrong Students' Union was held at Khumji - II in Tamenglong Dist.

The conference which was held under the theme "Winning peace together" was attended by Hill Areas Committee, Manipur Chairman Sonchinkhup, ANSAM president Paulhring Langhu and NSF president A Kikon as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Speaking at the function, Sonchinkhup urged the students to unite and work together and help bring about peace and development in this insurgency hit State.

Being the future pillars of society, students are an important components of society and therefore students should learn to be obedient and hardworking, he added.

The inaugural function was marked by traditional dances and cultural.
