To discuss the �Manipur State Development Report� prepared by Institute for Human Development (IHD) under the directive of Union Planning Commission, a Central official team would be arriving at Imphal to take part in a seminar and hold consultation with State Government officials.
An official source informed that the Central officials team will be headed by Project Director of IHD Smita Gupta who led the IHD team in preparing the report.
The team will be arriving at Imphal on March 2 or 3 in time for the seminar scheduled to be held at State Guest House on March 3.Other Central official team members include Researcher N Shimrah, Associate Professor of Delhi School of Economics Ashwini Despande, Director of IHD Alak Narayan, Praveen Jha of IHD, Vikas Rawal and S Chingailian, of RO RBI.
Besides conducting the seminar, the visiting Central officials would be meeting top officials of the State Government to have wide ranging discussions on various aspects of the developmental activities enumerated in the report, the source said, adding that the Central team will leave Imphal on March 4.Meanwhile, another official source informed that Union Planning Commission member BN Jugandhar will be coming to Imphal on March 2 and stayed here for three days to attend a meeting on plan review of the State.
