Imphal, February 14:
Even though the Kuki Liberation Front had earlier clarified that the Chairman of the Kuki Movement for Human Rights, Dr T Lunkim has not been abducted but has been merely summoned for a talk, a case has been registered at the Yairipok police station.
Dr T Lunkim who is also the secretary of the Kuki Christian Church was summoned by the outfit on January 16 while he was on his way to his native place at Molnom and though more than a month has passed, the 70 year old man is yet to be released.
Earlier the KLA had abducted the son of Dr Lunkim, T Lunkim, former DGM of the Telecom Department.
Family members have lost all contact with Dr Lunkim and there is as yet no clue on his whereabouts.
Numerous feelers have been sent to secure the release of Dr Lunkim but till date nothing positive has come about.
