The Anal Naga Students' Union has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister seeking immediate attention and necessary action regarding various demands including regular supply of electricity and provision of basic amenities in health sector among others.
The representation placed before the Chief Minister during the inaugural function of the newly constructed Fire Brigade Office in Chandel district headquarters yesterday highlighted necessity of power supply similar to those enjoyed by the people of Imphal.
Stating that Chandel district people rely heavily on regular supply of electricity for survival the students' body also prevailed upon the CM on urgent need of electricity as HSLC exam 2006 are round the corner.
Other demands mentioned in the memorandum include payment of pension to District Council employees for a respectable living after superannuation of the short service tenure, deputation of General Manager of district Industries Centre in Chandel district to smoothen DIC administration and ensure deserved candidates derive benefits extended from time to time.
