DESPITE REMINDER were sent for five times by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the state authority is yet to furnish the ACR details of some IPS officers of the state government, an official source said Friday.
A delegation of the MHA is schedule to arrived in the state to inspect into the reason behind the delay in furnishing the details of the IPS officers, the ministry has decided to send its official to the state to look into the matter.
The officials are scheduled to arrive on December 24, according to the source.
ACR or Accredited Career Record is a record of the careers of the employees serving in the government establishments maintained by the government authority which most importantly to look back into the service careers of the employees at the time of giving promotion to the next higher rank in the department, he or she is working.
ACRs of nine IPS officers of Manipur-Tripura cadre are yet to furnish to the MHA, the source said.
Among them, M Karnajit (MT-90), IG (law and order-I), C Doungel (MT-90) IG (Law and order-II), M Shantikumar (MT-91) DIG (range-III) and K Kabib (MT-2005) SDPO, Churachandpur who are currently posting in the state police department were included.
Others who are currently posting outside the state are MK Das (MT-77) posting as chief vigilance officer, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Vishakhapatam, Andhra Pradesh, Rajindra Kumar (MT-81) IG, BSH headquarter Delhi, HS Sadhu (MT-83), now on UN assignment at Jagoslavia and Santosh Marerla
(MT-84) .
More than 23 IPS officers including the state DGP, Y Joykumar of Manipur-Tripura cadre are currently serving under the Manipur government.
The number do not included the newly join four new IPS officers of 2007 batch who are in probations in the state police department.
In the Manipur police department apart from the DGP, eight of them are serving in the rank of IGP and three are in the DGP rank.
