Manipur State Women Commission today has recommended the state government to compensate adequately to the nine-year old girl who has been a victim of rape in yesterday's incident in which a 40-year old man was lynched by villagers at Pallel.
Mention may be made that Moirangthem Ibomcha alias Amitabh Bhachan who has been alleged of the nine-year old girls was beaten to death by the villagers of Pallel Mamang Leikai.
The victim girl is currently treating at the RIMS hospital after she suffered injuries at her private part in the heinous act committed by the deceased old man.
According to the statement of the victim girl, the man violated her modesty after she was called inside her house on the pretext of thirsty of water and saying to fetch water on him.
He locked her inside the house and committed the crime against her, the media report said as saying by the girl.
The Manipur State Women Commission took up a suo-motu notice on the fact that the reported incident is a violation of women's right based on the media report considering the incident is amount to serious violation of women's modesty.
"Moreover, the civilized norms of the society to give protection and honour to the girl child, has been seriously violated.
This commission takes a very serious view of the matter as similar cases have come up before the commission of increase in gruesome act of child raping," a statement of the commission today said.
It added that the commission is drawing the attention of the government to look into the matter and curbed it so as not repeat in future while recommending the state government to compensate the victim minor girl adequately so as to able her to get the right to free education till 18-year of her age.
