Imphal, December 06 2008:
Ahead of the Idul-Zuha festival which falls on December 9, the proscribed PULF has disbursed financial aid to the families of its late officers and cadres.
The financial assistance was distributed at a simple function held at a location in Imphal East district today.
A press release issued by the outfit's publicity secretary Md Anis Khan in connection with the distribution of financial aid and the upcoming Idul Zuha festival said that the financial aids were provided to the families of its cadres and officers who sacrificed their lives for the party so that the surviving family members could celebrate Idul Zuha in the same manner as the existing cadres.
Anis Khan said that similar assistance will also be provided to economically weaker and underprivileged individuals.
He also conveyed best wishes to all the indigenous people of Manipur, particularly to the Muslim community.
He conveyed his wish that the Idul Zuha festival may dispel all animosity, distrust and any thought/activity that may disturb peace.
He wished that the festival may bring peace and mutual love in the society.
Appealing to all the people not to indulge in any activity that may defile or lessen the significance of the festival, Anish Khan warned that no one should partake intoxicating substances or indulge in gambling or immoral activities that go against Shariat.
Asking religious and civil leaders to take up necessary precautions so that such unpalatable activities do not occur on the day of Idul Zuha, the outfit further warned that any one found indulging in such anti-religious activities will not be spared even if it is the sacred day of Idul Zuha.
