Ad-hoc teachers decry discrimination

Imphal, January 19: All Manipur Autonomous District Council Adhoc Teachers� Association decried alleged discrimination and gross negligence on the part of the State Government towards the grievances of adhoc teachers working in various schools under Autonomous District Council .

In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister, the adhoc teachers� body rued that even after six months of appointment; the teachers have been left in the lurch and not given their salaries.

Since the appointments have been made by the State Government, inspite of some flaw in the process, it is the duty of the Government to protect the rights of the teachers and regularised their services, the memorandum said, adding that the Government has no right to play games with the life of the teachers.
