Imphal, October 14: AMSU H/Q had condoled the sudden demise of Elangbam Sarda by observing two minutes silence in a condolence meeting today.

Late Sarda, a student of Shree Guru Govinda Singh College of Women, Chandigarh, was also a secretary of Pole Star College students union in 2001-02 and took active roles in student activities, informed publicity and information secy of the students� body.

Intoxicants banned: Following frequent quarrels and squabbles set off by consumption of liquors and drugs, the Wangjing Hodamba Maning Leikai Meirai Nupi Lup has imposed total ban on sale and consumption of intoxicants in the locality, stated a press note issued by the Marup.
