The identities of the remaining three PLA activists who were killed during an encounters with the personnel of Ist Assam Rifles at Phenge village and Nepali Khutti under Chassad Police Station on October 8 and 10 respectively and which have been lying at RIMS morgue were established today.
One out of the three PLA activists killed in the encounter at the jungle of Phenge village has been identified as Yumnam Ibomcha (24) of Arapti Maning Leikai on October 12 and subsequently his body was handed over to the family members.
The other two slain activists who were identified today are Oinam Inaocha alias Kanta (19) s/o Gulamchat of Uchiwa Wangma and Soibam Babu alias Mangang alias Punshiyaima (20) s/o Ibocha of Leimakhong Kanto Sabal Leikai.
Inaocha is said to have left home to join the outfit two years back.
The identity of the other underground activist who was killed at the Nepali Khutti has been established as Haorokcham Gopal alias Riki (27) s/o Thomba of Nongchup Sanjenbam.
According to his family members, Gopal left home to join the outfit in February 1998.Since then he had been arrested thrice and jailed twice.
In 2001, he was hit by a bullet on the right leg and was undergoing treatment at Langolview Hospital when he was arrested by 17 Assam Rifles.
It was about a month ago that he met some of his old colleagues and rejoined the outfit.
