The 22 hours general strike called by the Manipuri Students' Federation against the controversial decision of the referee that sent Manipur crashing out of the Santosh Trophy tournament began from 7 pm today.
The general strike will be in force till 5 pm tomorrow.
As part of the general strike, black flags were hoisted at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, SAG complex at Utlou and SAI complex at Takyel.
The student body had appealed to the people yesterday to hoist black flags at the premises of their local clubs and houses during the strike to protest the biased decision of the referee and the AIFF.
CS cracks attendance whip: The Chief Secretary has instructed all the employees of the State Government to attend offices during the general strike called by MSF tomorrow to protest the controversial decision of the referee in the quarter final match between Manipur and Goa adding that attendance registers would be checked at 10 am tomorrow.
The general strike which came into effect from 7 pm today will be in force till 5 pm tomorrow.
