Defending champion TRAU, Tiddim Road scored an impressive 3-1 win over Citizens' Club, Soibam Leikai in the 49th CC Meet football tournament at Khuman Lampak but the contest was marred by indiscipline.
In controlling the group X quarter final league match referee flashed the yellow card six time besides a marching order to TRAU's S Sanatomba.
Sanatomba disputing a referee decision for infringement against the rival custodian led to the marching order in the 77th minute.
Disputing the expulsion, Sanatomba even threw a punch at the referee whose evasive action prevented any injury.
But the action lingered when a fan rushed in and confronted Sanatomba but was also prevented with timely arrival of tournament officials.
The Soibam Leikai drew first blood as early the third minute when a delicately placed free kick Th Ibomcha evaded a lunging TRAU 'keeper.
A Sanatomba cross resulted in L Olenkumar equalising for TRAU in the 22nd minute before Sanatomba provided the lead ten minutes later.
The TRAU match-winner came three minutes into added time and nearly 17 minutes after Sanatomba was shown the exit door with Olenkumar's second of the match off an M Romi pass.
O Donboy, Olenkumar, Th Shyamo and O Somendro are the TRAU players who were cautioned for infringements with W Inao of Citizens receiving similar treatment.
With the win TRAU opened its points account in the quarter final phase having lost the first outing to MPSC 3-1.Citizens' Club have to defeat MPSC with no less than three goals to stay in contention for the last four berth from the three team group.
