Imphal, December 28 (NNN): The Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) today demanded the immediate termination of SE Irabot and book him under the National Security Act (NSA) saying that the engineer was hobnobbing with the underground elements by granting them contract works in the Tamenglong district.

The ZYF said that it would wait for two to three days and if action is not taken against the engineer by the concerned authorities then strong agitation would be carried out.

The ZYF also demanded that money and properties of SE Irabot be forfeited by the Govt as the engineer had withdrawn money without doing any work in the improvement of the SDO and SDC offices cum quarters at subdivisional HQs under Tamenglong district and also the improvement of Mini Secretariat building at Tamenglong HQ.

The Zeliangrong Youth Front pledged to start screening all the contract works in the Tamenglong district from today onwards so as to make the funds utilise in the proper channels.

The ZYF then questioned the home department of the government as to how it could seize the licensed gun of MLA Z Mangaibou when it failed to book SE Irabot who had been having nexus with the underground elements by awarding contract works to them (underground elements).
