Imphal, December 28: Reminding the Jan 4 , 2006 dead-line for fulfillment of its demands, the students' union of Tengkonjang Hr Sec School, Longmai has threatened to impose an indefinite total bandh along NH-53 with effect from 6 am of Jan 5, 2006 if the authorities concerned do not take up necessary measures in this regard.

The demands of the students' union include opening science stream, posting qualified and adequate teachers, setting up school library and construction of the approach road.

In a statement, general secy of the school Lausingam Kamei further informed that the union has resolved to carry out the admission procedure of the school through Noney Rural Bank from 2006 -07 academic session onward to prevent misutilisation of the school fund.
