Imphal, September 28: 26 Sector Assam Rifles has taken up the initiative of adopting Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi in Chandel district which is being run without any assistance whatsoever, said a statement.

The Fmn Cdr Brig RA Lewis has promised to provide ration for the 40 students including seven girls and other requirements of the school, it added. The Commandant of 24 AR also visited the school today and interacted with students and provided six bags of rice for the students.

While interacting with the students, the Commandant assured that all possible assistance would be provided for the schools by 26 Sector AR.
