Lamka, February 12:
Condemning the assault on general secretary of AMWJU Ratan Luwangcha on Feb 10 by some armed youths at his residence, the Manipur Hills Journalist Union on Feb 11 unanimously resolved to rally along with its fellow scribes of Imphal in their protest and demonstrate their solidarity.
The seven affiliated daily newspapers of MHJU besides leaving their editorials blank on February 11 issues, ceased publishing newspapers from yesterday literally freezing the last pieces of newspaper publication in the entire state as their Imphal counterparts launched the agitation.
