Imphal, February 12: A vegetable grocer succumbed to his injuries on the way to RIMS following a fight with another vegetable grocer today at around 2.30 pm at Nagamapal under City police station.

Both the victim and the accused are vegetable grocers at Kangjabi Leirak Machin.

The victim is identified as one Kameshor Prasad (21) of Bihar and staying at Kangjabi Leirak.

The accused identified as Tarakishore Nath (40) also of Bihar and currently staying at Nagamapal has been apprehended.

In this connection, police have registered a case and the body of the victim has been deposited at RIMS morgue.

Two die in mishaps : A road accident in Samram under Thoubal police station at around 2.45 pm of February 10 claimed the life of a girl identified as Khangenbam Latasana (16) d/o Kh Ningthouren of Samram Mayai Leikai.

The accident took place when a shaktiman laden with earth for a brick-field ran over the bicycle borne victim.

The body has been handed over to family members after post morterm at RIMS yesterday.

In another case of road mishap at Thanga under Moirang PS yesterday involving a tractor with a trailer bearing timber, another life was also lost.

The victim is identified as Mayanglambam Bangshidhar (36) of Kakching Khunou Angom Leikai.
