Imphal, February 12: The two-day long seminar on Anubad Sahitya (Translation in seminar) organised by Sahitya Akademi in association with the Cultural Forum Manipur at JN Manipur Dance Academy hall concluded today.

There were in all four sessions during which eight different resource persons read out their papers on different topics related to translation in literature.

In the first session conducted with Prof N Khagendra as moderator , A Kumar and Prof IS Khaidem spoke on the topics of History of translation in literature and Influence of the Manipur translation from Sanskrit, Hindi, Bengali and other Indian languages on Manipur literature respectively.

In the second session, Prof E Dinamani and Dr S Lanchenba Meetei spoke respectively on Prospects and problems of translation in literature and Criticism on translation in literature.

Kh Prakash was the moderator.

The third session was conducted with Prof Ch Manihar as moderator and Prof Devraj and L Joychandra as resource persons.

Prof devraj spoke on the topic of Importance of translation in literature in the development of literature and L Joychandra on Translation in literature from English to other European languages.
