Imphal, February 12: The 54th meeting of local board of administration of Sainik School, Imphal was held at the school premises yesterday under the chairmanship of major General GG Dwivedi, GOC, 57 Mountain Division wherein MP Dr T Meinya and Executive Engineer of PHED Lokeshore Singh attended.

Besides the school budget for the year 2006-07, various school matters were discussed in threadbare during the meeting.

Earlier the chairman paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the school Martyrs' Pillar.

He also inspected the Guard of Honour which was hosted in his honour.

The Kangla Terrace Hall was also inaugurated by the General which was constructed by a monitoring Committee duly constituted by the school.

The require fund for the construction of the hall was given by the Government of Manipur.
