Nod to second fly over yet to be received

Imphal, February 25: The Union Ministry of Surface Transports and Highways is yet to give its approval for construction of the flyover at Keishampat Junction, according to a reliable source.

MAHUD is making the arrangement for constructing the second fly over in the State with funding from Union Ministry of Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation.

However it has not yet taken the requisite approval from the Ministry of Surface Transports and Highways, the source further said.

NBCC has been entrusted with the task of constructing the flyover and soil testing of the area has been conducted, the source added.

Informing that discussions are being held at the Chief Minister�s level for seeking the necessary approval, the source said a detailed report of the project is likely to be submitted to the Ministry concerned soon.
