Pop singer Jesse passes away

Imphal, February 25: Churachandpur lost one of her celebrated artistes and living legend in pop music when the pulse of vocalist Jesse Lalzamlova, the lead singer of �Drixian Empire� ceased to beat yesterday, living behind his wife and daughter of 10 years.

The only son of VL Lawma, Jesse�s association with pop music dates back to 1980�s when he first joined a Shillong based band 'The Prisoners'.

He then joined 'Dark Crusaders', 'Tornado' (Mizoram based) besides Drixian Empire.

The band he was associated with when he breathed his last - Drixian Empire - was well known amongst the Five Star hotel circles in Delhi from 2000-02 when it was based in New Delhi.
