Lamka cops continue cleansing drive

Imphal, February 25: In its drive to cleanse the society from anti-social elements the Churachandpur police yesterday raided numerous places known for its drug related activities and arrested six drug sellers including three women.

The arrested drug sellers have been identified as Ngaivung (41) w/o Soibam Sanamacha Singh of Mandop Leikai, Tinglianmawi Vaiphei (31) w/o (L) Khamsuanmun of New Bazar, Thangngaihvung Simte (27) d/o Doulian of New Bazar, Joseph Mizo (29) s/o Thuama of New Bazar, Ramlian Paite (25) s/o Zatawn of New Bazar and Zathang Mizo (35) s/o Lianzama of New Bazar.

In unrelated drive, several numbers of vehicles with the banned tinted glasses and those bearing registration number of other states with incomplete documents were also rounded out.

New DFO building: Speaker TN Haokip today inaugurated the new District Forest Officer�s office building, at Tuibong today.

The office building was rebuilt following a devastating fire that razed the structure some years back.
