The 140th birth anniversary of communist leader VI Lenin was observed under the aegis of Agitation and Propaganda Department of Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) at Irabot Bhavan here today.
Speaking at the occasion, Th Tomba said that Lenin was known as 'the little man with a big head' and he was the Prime Minister of a first socialist State.
Dwelling at length on Lenin's philosophy that a system cannot be changed without a revolutionary struggle, Tomba noted that Lenin had popularised the teachings of Karl Marx in an era of imperialism so much so that today it is known as Marxism-Leninism.
B Sharma also spoke at the occasion.
The function was attended by State secretary of Manipur State Council.
Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) Langol Iboyaima and Secretariat member of MSC/CPI Dr M Nara Singh as presidium members.
