Imphal, August 17 2010:
Following a major landslide along NH 39 about three kilometres away from Kohima towards Dimapur, around 200 goods laden trucks heading for Imphal have been stranded.
According to information received from Mao Police, the same spot was partially blocked since earlier due to another landslide.
Vehicles were crossing the spot with the help of JCBs and bull-dozers.
But following today's heavy landslide, all vehicles coming from either side have been stranded.
Light vehicles and empty trucks have been crossing the spot using a bypass road, added the source.
