Even as the controversy over the withdrawal of three months pay of an approved teacher of Thambal Marik College, Oinam is yet to blow over, another alleged case of fradulent withdrawal of a month's pay of another teacher of the same college has surfaced.
According to a reliable source, after it came to light that the salaries for the months of May, June and July last year were withdrawn without the knowledge of the approved teacher, a complaint was lodged with the Director of Education (U) to do the needful.
Even as the case is yet to be disposed, another alleged case of fraudulent withdrawal in the same college, has surfaced, said the source adding that this pertains to the month of November last year.
As in the previous case, here too, the signature of the teacher was allegedly forged and the utilisation certificate too was found submitted, informed the source.

Thambal Marik college is an aided institution and receives grant-in-aid from time to time from the Government.
When The Sangai Express contacted Education Minister L Jayentakumar on the matter, he had no knowledge about the cases.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, the Minister said that he has no knowledge about the cases and expressed surprise that such a thing could have happened.
