Imphal West district police commandos claimed to have apprehended five underground activists from different places in Imphal during the last 24 hours.
According to a statement issued by the SP of Imphal West, the Imphal West district police commandos apprehended three UNPC active members from Dewlalane, near Tiny Tot's School yesterday around 7.45pm. The arrested UNPC activists were James Inpui (18), son of (L) Along Inpui of Noney Lukhambi, Tajaba Puimei (34), son of Khungchuijin Puimei of Ijeirong village, Noney, and Ningyo Jamang alias Ayo (30) son of Maringthui Jamang of Chatric village under Kamjong subdivision in Ukhrul district.
Meanwhile, the statement also claimed to have nabbed two KYKL activists from Keishampat bus parking today around 7.20am.The apprehended activists have been identified as Pukhrambam Dhanabir alias Dhana (30), son of P Kumar and Warekpam Kanta (35) son of (L) W Nodiachand, both from Naoremthong Khumanthem Leikai Takyel Khongbal.
Two Nokia mobile handsets were seized from their possessions.
