Imphal, February 18: In yet another sickening outrage, an 8-year old girl was severely assaulted with ginger and pepper powder inserted inside her private parts when she failed to live up to her employer's expectations.

The girl, identified as Angoubi d/o Momon of Thingkangphai village in Ccpur was admitted to the District Hospital yesterday evening.

According to a preliminary report of the doctor who examined her, she suffered from multiple bruises all over the body and infections have set in on her arms and stomach where there are cut wounds.

She is also badly swollen.

Traces of ginger and chilly powder were also retrieved from inside her private parts.

According to independent sources, Angoubi have been staying at the house of one Tom Singh, an acquaintance, at Tronglaobi since about four months ago.

About a week ago, she reportedly dropped the baby she was holding and getting enraged, Tom Singh assaulted her repeatedly in a very beastly manner.

Other sources added that the meira paibees nabbed the alleged assailant, Tom Singh yesterday itself and after severe thrashing, handed him over to the Moirang Police station today.
