Host SEYO, Singjamei and Ideal Club, Tera won the champion's titles of boys and girls in the 1st State Level SEYO Challenge Cup Hockey Championship, 2010 for Under 14 Boys and Girls organised by the South East Youth Organisation (SEYO) under the aegis of Manipur Hockey as the championship concluded today at SEYO Complex, Akampat, Imphal.
In the final match of U-14 girls category, Ideal Club, Tera beat host SEYO 3-0 and won the title.
The three goals of Ideal Club were W Mary, Ksh Priyalaxmi and Kh Ratana in the 5th, 19th and 32nd minutes of the match.
In U-14 boys' final match host SEYO beat goalless LMHT by a solitary goal.
Both teams displayed a real tough fight against one another throughout the match.
As a result the match concluded in a goalless tie.
However in the extra time A Momo of SEYO scored their winning goal in the 55th minute of the match.
Kh Bikramjit of SEYO-A was declared best goalkeeper.
L Deepu of LMHT was declared best scorer.
M Rabichandra of AMHA was adjusted best defender.
W Nirajkumar of PHAM was adjusted best promising player.
Y Nelson of PHAM was declared best player of the championship.
Athokpam Momo of SEYO was declared best player of the final match for boys.
Th Suman of SEYO was adjusted best player of the final match for girls.
NYC was declared best discipline.
Deputy Chairman, State Planning Board and also the president of the Manipur Olympic Association, MLA Bijoy Koijam graced the closing ceremony as chief guest.
K Devananda, president SEYO was the functional president.
MLA, Prithiviraj, MLA S Kunjakeshore and Olympian Thoiba also graced the function as guests of honour.
