As part of the Khongjom Day observance and tribute to the Manipuri martyrs who fought for Manipur against the British in 1981, Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur State Branch organised a 'voluntary blood donation camp at the Blood Bank of RIMS Hospital today.
During the camp, in all 116 donors donated their blood.
Out of these 116 donors, 69 were females and 47 were males.
Each donor were honored by giving 'Donor Certificate' and a copy of 'Hakchang Paojel' being published by IMA, Manipur State Branch.
Prior to today's blood donation camp, IMA, Manipur State Branch had organised a two-day training for voluntary blood motivators on blood donor recruitment and retention from April 21 to 22 at IMA House, Lamphelpat.
On the occasion, Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS); Environment, Rural Economic Development Association (EREDA) and Blood Transfusion unit, RIMS jointly organised a training for blood donor motivation cum blood donation camp at Irabot Park, Challou in Lamlai today.
In all 84 members of AIYF/LLC donated their blood in the camp.
