Continuing with its anti-Malaria campaign under the Military Civic Action Programme as well as to reach out to the common folks, 28 Assam Rifles, Lilong Post, today conducted another anti-Malaria campaign at Nungai and Chongtham village in the backdrop of the outbreak of Japanese Encephalitis and malaria in the State recently.
600 bed nets treated with Delta Methaline Disinfectants and mosquito repellents were distributed to the villagers during the drive.
Anti-Malaria disinfectant was also widely spread across the villages.
A number of local volunteers turned up to assist the campaign and they were updated on various aspects of health and hygiene.
The villagers extended their deep gratitude to the Post Commander of 28 AR, Lilong, said a statement.
