Imphal, August 20 2010:
A goods laden truck ferrying essential commodities, including rice, lentils and other food stock, which was on Army duty was reportedly hijacked by unidentified gunmen from Kangpokpi bazar today at about 2 pm, said police sources.
The truck was headed for Leimakhong, where the 57 Mountain Division is based.
Police have registered a case and investigations are on.
It is not yet known which outfit is behind the hijack.
