Imphal, January 07 2010:
All chemists and druggists holding both retail and wholesale drug licences operating in the State under Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 have been asked to check validity of their respective licences.
If the validity is found to be expired, the proprietor has to apply for renewal for the period 2010-11 immediately so as to avoid late fines and other penalties, according to a notification issued by the Director of Health Directorate, Government of Manipur Dr W Mitilal.
The Health Director has further asked licence holders to issue cash memos to customers with categorises licence numbers printed properly and also with dates to avoid any controversies on any official matters.
