Imphal, January 07 2010:
The All Zeliangrong Students' Union (AZSU) has urged the State Government to reconsider the reported proposal to set up a designated camp of a Kuki militant group under SoO pact at Zoujangtek under Khoupum police station of Nungba sub-division, Tamenglong district.
A press release issued by the AZSU maintained that designated camps of Kuki militants should be set up in areas dominated by Kukis.
It conveyed apprehension that opening a designated of Kuki militants in Naga dominated Zoujangtek would create problems and inconveniences to all concerned.
The AZSU appealed to the authority concerned to reconsider the reported decision to open designated camp at Zoujangtek and to revoke the same decision.
