Governor Gurbachan Jagat has extended greetings to the people of the State, particularly to the Muslim community, on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.
In his message, the Governor said, "Celebration of the holy festival is the propagation of the message of peace, brotherhood and friendship, which are the sustaining forces of securing peaceful coexistence in human society.
A society where there is no differentiation of caste, creed and religion flourishes in an atmosphere of peaceful co-existence".
While celebrating this holy festival, all of us should resolve to promote tolerance and peace and live in harmony, Jagat added.
MP Thangso Baite also sent his greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Id-ul Fitr.
Baite wished the festival be the turning point of striving for peace, tranquility and communal harmony.
IGAR (S) Maj Gen AK Choudhury greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Id-ul Fitr.
In his message, the IGAR (S) prayed to the almighty to keep an benign eye on the people of Manipur to bring about peace, prosperity and tranquility in the days to come.
Extending greetings, 57 Mountain Division GOC Maj Gen Shakti Gurung assured that the Army would continue working for the peace and prosperity of the State.
