Manipur Governor, Gurbachan Jagat has greeted the people of the state in general and Muslim brethren in particular on the auspicious and joyous occasion of "Id-Ul-Fitr".
On the occasion of celebration of this holy festival which propagate the message of peace, brotherhood and friendship, which are the sustaining forces of securing peaceful co-existence in human society, people should resolve to promote tolerance and peace and live in harmony, Governor stated in a message.
He said, "A society where there is no differentiation of caste, creed and religion, flourishes in an atmosphere of peaceful co-existence".
The inner Manipur parliamentary constituency MP, Dr Thokchom Meinya has greeted the people, especially the Muslim brethren of Manipur on the occasion of Id-Ul-Fitr which is being celebrated throughout the world tomorrow.
In a message of greetings, MP Dr Meinya prayed that may the Lord Allah grant us all happiness and prosperity.
He also expressed sharing in the prayer of all Meetei Pangal brethren and religious leaders of Islam faith in Manipur to bring about peace, prosperity and development in the state.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 57 Mountain Division, Maj Gen Shakti Gurung, VSM has greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Id-Ul-Fitr.
In a message of greetings, Maj Gen Shakti Gurung from Leimakhong stated that he wishes the people of Manipur the very best on this joyous occasion of Id-Ul-Fitr.
"May they have the very best in life, peace, prosperity and happiness in the days ahead," the GOC said.
The GOC has conveyed that his Division and troops are for the people and overall development of Manipur.
The Red Shield Division as we are all aware is already working on a number of projects for the development of infrastructure in the rural areas.
The GOC has conveyed his assurance that the Division would continue working for peace and prosperity of the state.
