A youth who went out to deliver cash for a lottery (Marup) to the winning candidate has gone missing since September 24 without any trace.
Meanwhile, a protest demonstration was staged today at Mongshangei Boroi Makhong with an appeal to release the youth on humanitarian ground if any one is holding him hostage.
The missing youth identified as Meisnam Roxy Luwang (22) s/o M Rameshwar conducted a Marup of total amount Rs 90,000 on daily payment basis at the rate of Rs 300 per member.
The latest winner of the Marup was proprietor of Tondon Opticals located at RIMS Road.
Roxy went out at about 11 am of September 24 to deliver Rs 80,000 to the Marup winner.
But at about 2 pm of the same day, Roxy's family was informed through a telephone call from Tondon Opticals that Roxy had not arrived.
Since then, he has been missing.
Saying that Roxy is an innocent youth, the family members have appealed to all concerned to release him on humanitarian if any one is holding him hostage.
A protest demonstration was also staged on the same matter by family members and womenfolk of Mongshangei Boroi Makhong.
