Ex-MP Kim Gangte who has been appointed convenor of the Trinamool Congress (TC) Manipur Pradesh has exuded that her party can definitely bring a revolutionary change in the field of development in Manipur.
Addressing a press meet at Manipur Press Club here today, Kim Gangte said that a committee would be constituted soon to build up party strength and give a definite organisational structure.
She hinted that president of the All India Trinamool Congress Mamata Banerjee may visit the State to oversee party activities while also assessing the situation of Manipur.
Lauding Mamata Banerjee as a political leader of grit who shares empathy with the people including underprivileged sections, Kim Gangte said that TC state unit was set up with a strong confidence that a party led by a political leader of principle and resoluteness like Mamata Banerjee can certainly bring profound changes in economic and development spheres.
Kim said that she discussed different issues related to Manipur with TC MPs at Delhi recently.
TC national organisation in-charge Dr Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar reportedly assured Kim Gangte that the law and order situation of Manipur and the issue of crime against women and children would be raised in the Parliament.
The ex-MP said that her party would pay more attention towards development of health care sector and transport infrastructure.
