PHAM recorded a thumping 23-0 win over ten-men ESU, Wangkhei in the Division II Hockey League Tournament 2004 at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium today.
The huge win strengthens PHAM, who has won three matches in a row in the five team competition, to annex the tournament title and promotion to first division next season.
The helpless Wangkhei side had to watch their opponent repeatedly storm their citadel and score at will with L Herojit sounding the ESU board five times followed by four each from Kh Kothajit, S Rabi and K Suresh while Ch Umakanta scored twice.
N Abung, Ng Sunderjit, AK Raju and Hemjit contributed one goal each.
Division III: HAYT outclassed BSC, Brahmapur 8-1 in today's match of the Div III Hockey League Tournament 2004 at Khuman Lampak Hockey stadium.
The winners established an unassailable 6-0 lead by the 36th minute with two goals from Ksh hamlet and one each by Ksh Jotin, G Dwijamani, Ksh Akendrajit and G Dinesh before N Robert pulled back one for BSC in the 39th minute.
