Transporters seek security on Moreh line

Imphal, June 25: In view of the problems being faced by the transporters and the passengers along Imphal -Morel route due to imposition of heavy taxes by underground organisations, JAC Imphal-Moreh Road Transporters, Imphal has appealed to the Chief Minister to deploy one company of IRB personnel each at Moreh Parking and Police Check posts.

In the event of the Government not paying any attention to the difficulties being faced by the transporters and the passengers alike, the JAC would not be in a position to continue service along the route, JAC general secretary Ng Haridas Singh stated in a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister today.
