Imphal, June 25:
In exercise of the power conferred by sub section (1) of section 3 of the Manipur Essential Services Maintenance Act 1984, Secretariat Home Department in the interest of the public has today issued an order prohibiting strikes in the State for a further period not exceeding six months with immediate effect in every services falling within the following categories of services namely.
Any transport service for carrying passengers or goods, by land or water with respect to which the State Legislative Assembly has the power to make laws.
Any service connected with the production, storage, supply or distribution as the cases may be of gas or water.
