Imphal, November 10: Charging Executive Engineer, Ukhrul with misappropriating a sum of Rs 24 lakhs sanctioned against 28 different work orders to be implemented in Ukhrul district, Educated Unemployed Union, Ukhrul district has demanded stringent action against the Executive Engineer.

In a representative submitted to the Chief Secretary, Union secretary Ningreishing Zimik asserted that the amount had been fraudulently withdrawn without executing the works at all.
