Following an understanding reached between representatives of JAC of Government employees and the Chief Minister during a meeting today, State Cabinet would be discussing some of demands of the employees tomorrow.
A joint meeting of the JAC representatives and CM O Ibobi Singh was held at the latter�s office chamber from 2.30 pm to 7 pm to discuss the 12-point demands put forward by the employees� body.
The meeting was held in the wake of the JAC�s threat to launch cease work strike from November 15 if the demands are not entertained by the Government.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, JAC president K Madhumangol said some understandings have been arrived at and some of the demands would discussed by the Cabinet tomorrow.
The meeting attending by Chief Secretary, Ministers and officials of the Departments concerned deliberated on each of the demands of the JAC, Madhumangol said, adding that the issue of the adhoc employees too had been discussed at great length.
